Our company was
formed in 1987 as a
Computer Retail
Outlet / VAR (Value
Added Reseller)
specializing in
Ms-Dos. Computer
systems/applications
for end-users.

In 1990, it was
decided a further
specialty was needed
to meet a rapidly
advancing, and
competitive market,
so the company
entered the Xenix
arena and chose to
expand into both
Unix and Xenix by
1991.

Since January of
1990 the staff of
Bow River Networks
Inc. have taken
numerous SCO Factory
Courses attaining
much more than just
Authorization and in
fact have now
advanced to the "SCO
ACE level" (Advanced
Certified Engineer)
for SCO Unix
Systems.

With our change in
focus by 1994 it was
decided to close the
retail operation as
virtually 100% of
all clients were now
corporate clients
with very few
general consumer
clientele left, and
since corporate
clients very seldom
came to the retail
shop there was no
point in having a
retail operation.
Thus by 1995 the
company was totally
devoted to corporate
clients in the
capacities of
Computer Networking,
and Consulting. We
maintained both our
industry and vendor
relations keeping
the positive aspects
of our retail
experience to
continue benefiting
our clients.

By 1996 we were on
the internet full
time with a high
speed connection
exceeding T1, and
advancing very
quickly in the
Network Arena with
two versions of
Unix, Novell, and
Windows NT, as well
as the 95 operating
system all under the
same network. At
this point we were
able to fully
develop the "Open
Systems Concept" by
having all the
common entities
under one network
and were able to
offer these
solutions to our
clients. We have
continued in this
direction ever since
being able to
cultivate both Unix
and Microsoft
clients at many
different levels,
and combinations.

In 1997 we expanded
our scope developing
a sound knowledge
base in Linux
and other Open
Source operating
systems like
FreeBSD. These
Unix-Like operating
systems are much
like Xenix in size
and scope fulfilling
a similar role but
often with an
Internet
orientation.

By late 1998/1999 we
were receiving
requests for
Internet Site
and
WEB Page
Development
as an extension of our
networking and
consulting services
with more and more
of our customers
requesting this
service. In an
effort to satisfy
these service
requests we created
a small web
development group
that responds to
such requests.
Consistent and never
ending improvement
in the knowledge and
services we provide
is key to our
success , and
something that we
believe in.

platforms in both
hardware and
software. We feel we
